The Kannur Dist. Ex-servicemen Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd No.C.1009 is registered society under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act 1969, mainly for the benefit and welfare of Ex-servicemen residing in Kannur District, one of Kannur’s most trusted Co-operative Society commenced its operations in the 26th of November 1986. With a vision to serve the people’s rising financial needs with in the district, the society has been introducing innovative deposit schemes and loan plans, especially for Ex-servicemen.
The Society’s beginning was a modest one. In 36 years, the Society grew from struggling period in the starting periods and was strengthened to an envious height, and today we are the number one Miscellaneous Society with 3 branches within the district and a 3 trading concerns, 1 Housing Project, the Society delivers to the necessities of a wide range of people; an attainment value mentioning for a Society operating in the co-operative sector.
What makes the Society different from others is a noticeable factor; it’s customer-friendly procedures, methods and delivers. We believe that customer is the core of every business and enterprise. The complete fulfillment of their needs is our slogan. That is why we plan all our deposit schemes and loan plans in a highly customer-friendly manner.
In our drive to a desirable enterprise for top class and customer-satisfaction, the Society has been promoted to a ‘Class 1 Society’ since 2000.
Staff
The success of every business or enterprise mainly depends on the quality and generous service of its staff members. The Society is privileged to have devoted and trustworthy workforce who are our strength and support.
Today, the Society has 18 permanent staff and 11 collection agents who work on a salary plus commission basis. The Society is highly dedicated to the personal and professional development and well-being of our staff. As a part of this, the Society has been sending them for various co-operative departmental training in regular intervals which would help them to become better professionals who would be there for our customers, always.
Members

Society have 5 types of members A,B,C,D and E. In this A Class membership is given only to Ex-servicemen residing in Kannur Revenue District. B Class member ship is issued to Government , C Class membership is given to the Dependants of Ex-servicemen, D Class membership is issued to the General Public for taking Gold Loans and the E Class membership is given to the General Public making Deposits and taking Loans.
A,B,C and E Class members are entitled to get Divident declared by the Society from time to time.
